Shudder is about to premiere the movie Shook on its streaming service. The subscription-based channel has only been around for about six years and it has become the most recognized genre content platform of its kind. Having that clout allows them to premiere horror movies such as Shook; a decision-based slasher akin to the Saw franchise.
Directed by Jennifer Harrington, Shook follows Mia, a social media star, who becomes the target of an online terror campaign, she has to solve a series of tests to prevent people she cares about from getting murdered. This is sort of the same concept that 13 Sins and the Saw franchise used, just without the screen life concept.
The soundtrack is composed by the great Johnny Jewel of the iconic band The Chromatics, and stars Daisye Tutor, Emily Goss, Nicola Posener, and Octavius J. Johnson.
Shook will premiere and debut exclusively to Shudder on February 18 2021 in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as via the Shudder offering within the AMC+ bundle where available.
