Freya Allan may be best known to genre fans as Ciri from the Netflix series, The Witcher, but she’s picking up another role in the upcoming feature adaptation of Alberto Corredor’s Baghead.
According to Deadline, the film’s synopsis reads as follows:
The film revolves around a mysterious figure called Baghead, a diminutive wrinkled up person who is able to manifest the dead and bring them back to our world for short intervals. People seek out the mysterious medium to reconnect with lost loved ones. Once in contact with Baghead however, the title character’s true powers and intentions are revealed and there is a high price to pay for its contact with the deceased.
Allan will reportedly play the lead in the film, though little has been revealed about the character beyond the fact that Baghead has ties to her family’s past that she now must face head-on.
Alberto Corredor won multiple awards with the short film on which the new feature is based. He will direct now, based on a script by Christina Pamies and Bryce McGuire.
iHorror will keep you posted on all the details about the film as they become available. Take a look at the trailer for the Baghead short film for a taste of what the feature might have in store!
