During Day 5 of Netflix’s Geeked Week it was announced that while Castlevania’s fourth and final season is now streaming, this isn’t the end of the Castlevania universe. A new animated series starring Richter Belmont (the son of Sypha and Trevor) and Maria Renard is on the way from executive producer Kevin Kolde, director Sam Deats, and assistant director Adam Deats.

During the announcement, the creators revealed they are “nowhere near done with this world,” and are bringing along new writer and showrunner Clive Bradley to continue exploring the Castlevania universe. The new series will be set in 1792 France, against the backdrop of the French Revolution.
Powerhouse Animation will return for the spinoff series, with Sam and Adam Deats continuing their directing duties. Kolde and Bradley will both executive produce.
The final season of the original anime series adaptation released on May 13, bringing the story of Trevor Belmont (voiced by Richard Armitage) to an end. The show was adapted from the classic Konami video game series and quickly became a fan-favorite during its four-year run.
