Paramount+ has officially renewed Ali Schouten’s iCarly revival for a second season, which is slated to begin its production this fall in Los Angeles. The renewal order comes midway through the comedy series’ first season, which just premiered its seventh episode titled “iNeed Space.” According to the streamer, the revival quickly became one of their top acquisition drivers, ranking among Paramount+’s most-streamed titles since the series debut.

The iCarly revival picks up nearly 10 years after Nickelodeon’s original show ended, which finds Carly Shay, the original influencer, and her friends navigating work, love, and family in their twenties. It features the return of original stars Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor, who are reprising their roles as Carly, Freddie, and Spencer, respectively.
Joining them are new cast members Laci Mosley (Florida Girls) and Jaidyn Triplett (See), who has been cast as Carly’s new best friend/ roommate, Harper and Freddie’s snarky and social media-savvy stepdaughter, Millicent.
The iCarly revival was developed by Jay Kogen (School of Rock, The Simpsons, Frasier). It is executive produced by Cosgrove and Ali Schouten (Diary of a Future President), who is also serving as the showrunner. Producers are Jerry Trainor and Alissa Vradenburg.
Season 1 is currently streaming in the U.S. and Canada and is slated to make its debut in the Nordics and Latin America on July 30 and in Australia on August 11.
