Academy Award winner, Jordan Peele took to social media today to unveil the title and poster for his newest horror thriller.
Simply called, Nope, the film will see Peele reteam with his Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya alongside Steven Yeun of The Walking Dead and Scream Queens and Scream: The Series alum Keke Palmer. According to Deadline, Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria) and Brandon Perea (The OA) will also appear in the film.
Peele has released no plot details on the project, but according to the poster, Nope is currently set for release on July 22, 2022. Even in his social media posts today, the director had little to say, posting the one-sheet image without comment.
Peele’s films have grossed more than $500 million in the worldwide box office and earned the writer/director his first Oscar for his script for Get Out. He is also a producer and co-writer on Nia DaCosta’s new Candyman film slated for release next month.
Additionally, he served as an executive producer on a reboot of The Twilight Zone, which featured Yeun as the star of one episode, that ran for two seasons and on Lovecraft Country which recently received 18 Emmy nominations despite its cancellation at HBO Max.
iHorror will keep you posted on the details for Jordan Peele’s latest venture as they become available. Right now we’re just going to stare at the poster a little longer to see what we might uncover.
