MYTHIC SUNSHIP Brings the Jazzy, Saxy Rock With New Song “Maelstrom”

Mythic Sunship sounds like their band name implies they would – free wheelin’ and jazzy as hell with just enough distortion to add a nice crunch. You’ll see what I mean shortly with our premiere of the band’s brand new single “Maelstrom”.

“After a bunch of albums on a local label, we wanted to reinvent ourselves for this release while still being unmistakably Mythic Sunship. We wanted to rock!” said the band about their coming album Wildfire.

“So, we rented a studio, jammed for several days straight and teamed up with Danish punk legend Per Buhl Acs behind the mixing deck to really push the boundaries of our sound. ‘Maelstrom’ is the prime example of this approach with its wild outbursts of energy feeding a jam, fueling and intensifying until it explodes!”
