Remember that insane time-lapse video Rammstein posted of their road crew setting up the band’s massive stage show immediately prior to the tour kick-off? That was in February 2020. Sigh. We were so young then.
Needless to say, that tour didn’t happen, rescheduled for summer 2021. And needless to say, THAT won’t be happening either. Summer 2022 is now the ticket. New dates are posted below.
As of right now, the band’s 2021 North American tour (rescheduled from 2020 as well) is still slated to happen this fall. We’ll see what happens with that. The U.S. vaccination effort, it’s worth noting, is a bit ahead of Europe’s — and the tour was scheduled for a later timeframe — but it remains unclear what state and local restrictions will still be in place by September.
The band commented of the latest postponement:
“Due to the expected ongoing event bans and restrictions related to COVID-19, Rammstein are unfortunately forced to postpone the planned European Stadium Tour again,” said the band. “The band and everyone involved are very disappointed about this. Given the lack of planning reliability for holding events of this size, this step is unavoidable.
“The concerts are rescheduled to 2022. Unfortunately, some minor changes had to be made and the show in Belfast will be cancelled entirely. Tickets for Belfast will be refunded, all other tickets remain valid! The band is using the time off to continue working on new songs. We look forward to seeing you in 2022!”
