Batman: One Dark Knight Hardcover Edition Trailer

One of the darkest stories in the Dark Knight’s recent history, “Batman: One Dark Knight,” has made its way to hardcover. DC decided to release a trailer for the book, which comes from celebrated Batman artist Jock, with the video providing a good overview of the story at hand. A synopsis for the tale reads as follows:

All they had to do was get him across town. It was the sort of mission Batman had run a thousand times. From high above the sweltering summer streets of Gotham, Batman would escort the GCPD as the dangerous metahuman super-villain known as E.M.P. was transferred from a temporary holding cell to his permanent home at Blackgate Prison in Gotham Harbor. E.M.P.’s electrical powers posed a dangerous threat, but the situation was well in hand. Until it wasn’t. Now every light in Gotham is out, the police have been knocked into disarray, and a broken, bleeding Batman must fight his way to Blackgate, block by block, dragging E.M.P. behind him. But it’s not just the gangs who want to make life difficult for him. The dark corners of Gotham contain many surprises…and E.M.P. has many more shocks to deliver before the night is through!

“Batman: One Dark Knight” is available now.

Marvel Wants To Help You With Your Thanksgiving Leftovers With This Comic

Marvel has launched a new Infinity Comic on Marvel Unlimited called “T.E.S.T. Kitchen” which is, more than a comic, a recipe book of sorts. Its aim is to help you take Thanksgiving leftovers that will be sitting in the fridge come Friday and turn them into delicious dumplings. Honestly, this is pretty clever, in my humble opinion, and anything that gets people reading comics is okay by me. You can actually check out the recipe in comic form by clicking here.

New Trailer Heralds The Winter Soldier’s Arrival In Marvel’s Avengers Next Week

Even though the game is more than two years old, “Marvel’s Avengers” is still rolling out updates for the players it has left. The next update will see none other than the Winter Soldier getting in on the action. To celebrate the occasion, Marvel and developer Square Enix put together the above trailer, which plays out like a motion comic and really digs into the tragedy of this character. Even as an individual piece of work divorced from the game, it’s pretty cool. Check it out for yourself above and look for Bucky in the game beginning November 29.

Marvel Legends Blue And Yellow Gambit Figure

The folks at Hasbro have revealed the above Gambit figure heading our way in 2023, which is inspired by his appearance in the cover of “Uncanny X-Men” #275. This is far removed from the classic trench coat look, with the Cajun superhero decked out in a more classic blue and yellow X-Men look. The figure will also coincide with the 60th anniversary of X-Men next year, and Hasbro is promising even more to come to celebrate. Stay tuned.

The Rock Takes Issue With Comparing Black Adam’s Box Office To Wakanda Forever

Facts are facts: “Black Adam” isn’t going to clear $400 million worldwide at the box office, and after this past weekend’s haul, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is nearly at $550 million. IGN recently (factually) stated that the Marvel sequel has already outgrossed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s recent DC debut. But, responding on Twitter, Johnson took issue with the outlet’s choice to frame it as they did:

“What a neutral post. I love competing, but @IGN you guys are in the biz with us there’s no competition with the established global brand of Black Panther compared to Black Adam & JSA who a year ago no one even heard of. No need to knock us, we’re new babies and have to grow.”

So yeah, maybe not a great look. I can understand what Johnson is trying to say here, in that Black Adam and the Justice Society were relatively unknown entities, but still — no need to go after a news outlet for laying things out. Even if he attempted to do so respectfully.

Behold, The First Official Poster Of Our New Black Panther

Following its second weekend in theaters, Marvel decided to pull the mask off and share an official poster from “Wakanda Forever,” introducing the world to our new Black Panther. To the surprise of probably no one, it is Letitia Wright’s Shuri. This has all but been confirmed by the trailers leading up to the release, but Marvel still wanted to play up the mystery of it heading into opening weekend. In any event, here we are with the cat out of the bag.

Ben Affleck’s New Production Company May Mean He’s Truly Done As Batman

It was recently revealed that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon launched a new production company called Artist’s Equity, and that’s a pretty big deal. But what does that mean for you, superhero fan? Well, as The New York Times reports, Affleck has committed to only starring in films produced by his new company. As such, that would seemingly rule him out of any future appearances on screen as Batman in the DC Universe. So, it seems after his appearances in “The Flash” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” we truly have seen the last of Batfleck. Granted, Affleck wanted to retire from the role some time ago, but keeps getting pulled back in. This, however, seems to truly be the final nail in the coffin.

Heads Up! Black Adam Arrives On Digital Tomorrow

Lastly, “Black Adam” has been in theaters for a full month and, as it stands, it has been winding down at the box office. As such, Warner Bros. has decided to make the movie available to everyone at home with the Digital release set for tomorrow, November 22. So, those who wish to see what the Rock is cooking in his DC Universe debut can now do it from the comfort of their couch. Those hoping for a physical release will need to wait till January though, but the Blu-ray is coming.
