We’ve been promised a brand new trailer for Zack Snyder‘s Justice League this Sunday, February 14th, and while we wait we’ve got another little teaser to whet your appetite.
The 4-hour “Snyder Cut” comes exclusively to HBO Max on March 18, and the new footage is notably highlighted by a black-suited Superman shooting laser beams from his eyes.
Check out the short new teaser below, which comes directly from Snyder.
The “Snyder Cut,” which Warner Bros. is spending tens of millions of dollars on, is said to be quite a bit different and a whole lot darker, with Darkseid notably featured in the movie. Ray Porter plays the super-villain in scenes from the film that never ended up in the theatrical cut. Jared Leto‘s Joker from Suicide Squad will also be in the film, sporting a new look.
This version of the movie, packed with previously shot footage from Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League that we’ve never seen, along with 4 or 5 minutes of brand new footage that Snyder began shooting just last year, is rated “R” for “violence” and “language.”
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
