‘The Day Before’ Trailer Introduces Post Apocalyptic Survival Terror

The Day Before resembles a mix between The Division and Days Gone. The post apocalyptic MMO from FNTASTIC combines a whole lot of elements together that really have left us wanting to give this one a play through once it drops.

The trailer features a couple of survivors out grabbing supplies from the city when their vehicle runs out of gas. Once on foot the group decides to split up and search for gasoline. The narrator explains that you are able to trade supplies with other real time players or even get into combat with those folks. It isn’t long before another team of survivors gets into a firefight with the other team. The player makes a run for it, for fear of what the sounds of gunshot will bring to their door. They are met with a horde of infected all trying their best to feverishly devour them. The player makes a run for it barely getting away on the elevator. Once he reaches the floor where his friend was, he is met with a ton of infected all drones of the dark. When he comes upon his survival buddy, he realizes it’s already too late and his friend is being devoured.

The Day Before introduces a world that was decimated by a pandemic that lead to many deaths and an introduction of the infected. Maybe, it isn’t a completely new idea but the games mechanics combined with narrative make for a fresh approach. It looks like one of those games that is going to be a blast to play with friends and that it’s going to be a game that you are going to spend a lot of time with.

The game is up for pre-order on Steam. So far, it is a PC only title, but we are hoping this will expand to consoles soon.
