‘The Real Ghostbusters’ Full Episodes Return to Saturdays on YouTube Channel

We have had a few delays for our beloved Ghostbusters: Afterlife. In order to mask some of the pain of waiting, the official YouTube Ghostbuster’s account made a big announcement that will help fill in some ghostbustin’ time between now and the release of the long awaited sequel.

The Real Ghostbusters ran for seven seasons from 1986 to 1991. The series spawned a ton of great toys, slime and other great tie in products like, our fave, Ecto-Cooler. It appears that its time to once again grab a heaping bowl of your favorite cereal on Saturday mornings as, the cartoon is headed back to air new episodes on YouTube every Saturday!

The Tweet from the official Ghostbuster account announced that beginning this Saturday (Feb. 6) the first episode of The Real Ghostbusters is set to air. Now, these episodes are only about 20 minutes long, so I’m hoping that we are getting more than just one episode. That of course is me being greedy, but more Ghostbusters is a good thing.

The synopsis for Ghostbusters went like this:

“After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become “ghostbusters” to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.”

Be sure to head over the official Ghostbuster’s YouTube channel this Saturday for a super great time and don’t forget the cereal.
