Thousands of Dollars of Gear and Merch Stolen from After the Burial | MetalSucks

Metal Sucks

Back in the Before Times, we’d hear about bands being robbed on the road all too often, their instruments lifted from “secure” backstage locations or entire trailers ripped off while they slept. For obvious reasons, that hasn’t happened lately. But with all that gear sitting in storage, a new kind of theft has arrived, and After the Burial are the latest victims.

Drummer Dan Carle has revealed that his storage unit in Virginia, MN, about 200 miles north of Minneapolis, has been burglarized, with production equipment, a bass rig and merch among the stolen items. He explained:

“I’ve been informed of some bad news today. I store my band’s touring gear locally in Virginia, MN. Unfortunately someone has broke into where I keep everything and robbed a handful of valuable gear along with After The Burial merchandise. A police report has been filed but I just wanted to put the word out to everyone and let you know what items were taken in case anyone spots them around town. These are the items:

“- (4) Elation Protron 3K LED Strobes
– (1) Mesa Boogie 6X10 Traditional Bass Cab
– Tons of After The Burial merchandise, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and cds that were never available online, they were tour exclusive merch.

“If anyone sees any of these items around town, I’d appreciate it so very much if you could message me the details so I can be a better help to the police in tracking down the culprits. The circumstances of the theft make it obvious more than one person was involved. Theft is a very big problem in the area and the most important thing to me is tracking these people down so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Thank you and I hope to see you all again soon.”

You can contact Dan on Facebook or Instagram if you know anything about the burglary or where the items ended up. Best of luck to Dan and the rest of the guys in recovering their stuff.
